China

We have tried to do this so many times..at last we can but annoyed now so keeping it short!! Left Hong Kong wed morn and took a pleasant train ride to guangzhou!! Arrived gaungzhou and the fun begin..no english anywhere and no english signs..also no helpful people they just laugh when we spoke to them! After finding our way round we managed to book over night sleeper train tickets! then had to fight our way through the bus depot and to another train station..with minutes to spare and feeling slightly stressed we boarded our train! On board the train, the carriage had 66 beds and in each bay it was 6 beds 2 sets of 3...cozy and compact to say the least as u will be able to see from the pics we barely had room to move! Finally arrived nanning at 0530 after what seemed like eternity and not much sleep! luckily for us across from the railway station was a hotel and it was 6quid a night so after jax inspecting the room we booked in for 3nights!

Instantly we noticed that the people are much friendlier here! They shout Hello across the street and stop and stare at us, its quite funny! paul said it cause they havnt seen many white people before!
Its not as busy here although u have to watch out for the bikes they are everywhere and they are mad, they come at you from all directions and its the funniest sight when its raining they all have these waterproof poncho's on and cycle or ride along holding a brolley too!
We have sorted our visa's for vietnam and have to collect them today! So all being well we will be leaving China on sun and heading to vietnam for 1month!
Weather here is much the same as Hong Kong without the smuggyness?? We got caught in a rainstorm yest and was soaked, weather just changed in a flash!

walked miles to find somewhere to watch world cup, finally came across a bar...so thought would come back tonight as it was deffo on there! On our trek we also came across a gorgeous park with a bonsai bit init and a man singing on a stand..nice and relaxing unfortunately the water feature wasnt working!

We finally made it back to the hotel and was so tired just ended up putting the tv on in our room and came across a footie channel so didnt make it to the pub just got a few beers and watched it in chinese in r room! Good thing as had to be up early as we was on the move!
