Vietnam

Had a funny ride on a motorbike with a carriage at the back where me and paul sat with our bags zooming through the streets of China to get to the friendship pass (border to vietnam)wind through our hair and dust in our eyes!
Made it across the border no probs, got a taxi and made our way to Hanoi, had a funny encounter with a taxi man but thats another story! Arrived at The Star Hotel, which is lovely got a double bed this time not twin a bath, english tv free internet and a window!!!
First impressions of vietnam..MAD!! Bikes everywhere and i mean everywhere, we thought China was bad but thats nothing compared to here, all u can here no matter where u are is beep beep beep!! Thats all day and most of the night! The other thing is most people are out to rip u off, taxi drivers mainly they just try and con u all the time! Although there is also some lovely people, for instance today we have been to the waterpark as its redders our first day in the sun so thought why not, gets there and its full of locals. Goes for a float round this river that goes round the park and met a couple of nice children who came over and said "hello" and asked us our names, thought it was nice that they made the effort and most of them speak very good english! Then we came across this young girl and a women who we was chatting to for ages, they was asking us all sorts of questions and told us we was nice, the young girl asked for my email and the women offered to teach us vietnamese, very nice people!
The place is fairly cheap like food accomodation and to go anywhere is very reasonable!At the moment just trying to arrange a 3day trip to halong bay, where we will get to stay on a boat for 2 nights and do some kayaking and visit some small islands and markets! (unfortunatley canot read our comments at the min as there is a fire wall stopping us)
