Katherine (Northern Territory)

We did plan to camp in Katherine, but when we arrived at the campsite, decided it wasnt that great so stayed at a backpackers instead! Threw our bags down and made our way to the tavern. I ordered croc for dinner and Paul had pizza! The croc was ok a lot like chicken, glad i tried it though, next it will be roo and emu!!!
Today we have been on a very long walk, well worth it though. We went to the hot springs had a bathe there for a while and a little swim, although there where danger signs around warning us of crocs!!!! We then walked up to the low level national park where the Katherine river runs through! There is a lot more to see and do in Katherine, but unfortunately we don't have a car and are limited! S'pose its an excuse to come back again!!
We are on the bus again tonight, only for a few hrs, heading off to Darwin! We may go AWOL for a while as we are possibly going to be doing a camping tour around Kakadu National Park!
