Hue (central Vietnam)

Hello everyone, just read all our comments they are great made us smile so thanks very much and keep em coming! Oh And Faz i'll kepp my eyes peeled!
Well we arrived in Hue after what we thought was a 12hr train journey actually turned out to be 18hrs..painful wasnt init, not only that we was cooped up with 2dutch blokes who could speak very good english but decided to speak there own lingo..how rude!
We arrived first impressions a lot calmer than Hanoi but still busy and very touristy which is is very disappointing as we just thought we would be able to muck in with locals so to speak! The weather is still hot,but not as hot! Our hotel room is the greatest, we have a balcony and everything the only thing missing is adaptors for me to do my hair ha ha...its a total disgrace! The room was very expensive but im worth it, it came to a grand total of $10 a night, roughly just over 5quid..get in, u can even get cheaper than that if u want a room without air con, satalite tv..fridge and giant bath suites, but im only used to the best!
We are staying two nights in Hue and have arranged a bus to take us further south to danang tomorrow morning..bus journey should be 4hrs but that means nothing here!
We walked the song huong (perfume river) today, dont no why they call it perfume river as it didnt smell that pleasant but was still nice! We also went to see Thien Mu Pagoda which is a place of worship (Its all getting too much for paul)ha ha! Only joking its where Thich Quang Duc burnt himself in 1963, means nothing to us either!Anyway sat in a bar where its 50p a pint and free internet so cant go wrong really!We have been to a gorgeous curry house and had one of the best currys iv tasted (vince u would be impressed)!Oh yeh Babe, no i havnt done Singapore yet thats our last stop before oz, so i'll keep u posted!x Big Dave..yeh looking forward to meeting u, wondering why u are called big dave??
